Brisbane Flag

about us

Brisbane Flag is a community focused on the growth and development of flag football

We currently have over 250 active weekly players playing flag football in our pickup games, tournaments, and weeknight leagues.

With flag football being targeted to be an Olympic sport in 2028, we don't see its growth slowing down any time soon. Could we see players from Brisbane Flag there? Or even at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics?

How do you play Flag football?

Brisbane flag

our story

Brisbane Flag started with no more than one person moving to Brisbane in 2019 with a passion for the sport of flag football and wanting to make some new friends in a city where they didn't know anyone, so they decided to start a weekly meetup for anyone to come play flag football!

Now here we are 4 years later running all kinds of events, from targeted skills clinics to competitive leagues and tournaments. We may have grown a lot, now with over 250+ weekly players, we still run those free weekly meetups as they are an important part of giving everyone and anyone the opportunity to play flag football.
